Idea Lab Private Programs and Offsite Programs

Idea Lab Offsite Programs

The Idea Lab offers a variety of offsite programs starting at ages 13 and up. Offsite programs are intended for organizations within Erie County. If your group is outside of Erie County and would like a tour of the Idea Lab/Library, fill out the general request form here.

All Idea Lab classes are free. Each class has its own duration and capacity based on our supplies and complexity. Please view the Program Menu for details about each class.

Offsite programs take place at your organization's location. If you would prefer to have a private program at the Idea Lab, visit the Private Program Tab.

Most classes will require access to electricity and internet. If your organization provides the laptops/computers, the class can run at max capacity. If you need the library to bring their laptops, the program size is reduced to 10 people.

If you are using the computers/laptops at your location, an Idea Lab staff member will send you the free software you will need to download to your computers prior to the program date.

We ask that organizations submit a request by at least the 10th day of the month prior to the month you wish to visit. For example, if your group wishes to have a private program in March, you will need to submit your request by February 10th.

We ask that a single organization not request more than three private classes a quarter. This is to allow multiple organizations the opportunity to receive a private class from the Idea Lab. We want to share our equipment and skills with as many people of Erie County as possible.

There is no guarantee for a program to happen on a chosen date/quarter, as it depends on staff availability.

An Idea Lab Staff member will reach out to you to follow up on your request.
