Reading BINGO
Teens, ages 13-18 years old, can read and complete squares to win big! Completing one
row on the card (5 boxes across, down or diagonally) earns you a prize ticket for the fabulous TeenTober prizes! Read a book and write the titles for each square you complete. Turn your completed bingo card in at any Erie County Public Library location to get your prize ticket. Enter to win by October 31st, 2025.
Young Adult (YA) Literature Scavenger Hunt
Pick a YA title that fits each category. Find your answers in the Teen Space collection, your school library, the digital card catalog, at a bookstore, or online. Each entry must include: full name, age, and a numbered list with the title and author for each item. Send your list of answers along with your name and age to teenspace@eriecountypa.gov.
1. YA Non-fiction Graphic Novel
2. YA book cover with three or more people
3. YA book with seven or more words in the title
4. YA book that features a sport
5. YA book that is more than 500 pages
6. YA book that has a movie or television show
7. Title of a manga we have at the library
8. YA non-fiction title with a TX in the call number
9. YA book with a LBGTQ+ main character
10. Title of the second YA book in a series
Paper copies are available at any Erie County Public Library location.
Book Spine Poetry Contest

Original Character Art Contest 
Do you have a creative character concept brewing in your mind? Now’s the perfect time to bring it to life! This contest welcomes all forms of artistic expression—from digital art to traditional media like pencils, paints, or even sculpture. Whether your character is a fantasy hero, a futuristic villain, or an everyday person, we want to see your creativity shine!
Rules:
You can use any art medium of your choice (e.g., digital art, sketching, painting, mixed media, sculpture).
Submit your entry as an image file (JPEG, PNG) to teenspace@eriecountypa.gov
Include a brief description of your character, their backstory, abilities, personality, or anything that makes them special.
No plagiarism: All characters must be your own creations. No fan art or copied designs will be accepted.
Art will be shared on our social media and on the art wall in the Teen Space.
Game Craft Contest! 
Teens ages 13-18. Open to beginners with little to no prior experience in game development. Make a fun, simple mini-game using Scratch, the free visual programming tool! Whether you’re just starting out or have played around with Scratch before, this contest is the perfect opportunity to get creative. Your challenge is to design a fun, interactive mini game that anyone can play.
