Intro to 3D - Still Life 2-4pm (Registration Required) 
Join local maker Max Blumish and learn how to create a 3D scene using Blender. Build a simple elegant scene in the Blender, a free, open-source computer graphics software. You will learn how to use materials simulation and lighting to create your own simulated scene. Blender beginners are welcome, but students should be proficient with a PC computer to take this class.
Free. Registration required. Ages 13 to adult. If you think you might need help with this project, please bring a support person with you to class.
Monday Makers Party 6-7:30pm 
Stop into the Idea Lab between 6:00 pm and 7:30pm to see what the Idea Lab is up to. For Erie Makes we're doing a special Monday Makers party! We'll have three classic Idea Lab crafts - making buttons, coloring tiles, and collage. Free. Available while supplies last. No registration required - just drop in!

Teen: Beaded Sunglasses 6-7:30pm 
Make your own beaded sunglasses with your own personalized name or saying. Whether you want just a few added details to take your sunglasses from the standard to something special or you want to go for a fun, over-the-top look this is the event for you. Drop in anytime from 6-7:30pm. For teens ages 13-18. No registration required. Available while supplies last.

Acrylic Pours 6-8pm (Registration Required) 
Join local maker Brandon Borgia for lesson in acrylic pouring. Apply color in puddles, pools and marble-like patterns. Leave your creation and then return in a couple of days to pick it up once it's dry.
Free. Registration required. Ages 13 to adult. The class will take place in the Community Room of our Millcreek branch. Children under 15 must be supervised by a guardian. If you think that you will need extra assistance to complete this class, please bring a support person with you.

Explore the creative world of Duct Tape. Use fun patterned and bright color Duct Tape to create, bookmarks, hair clips, flower pens and more! Drop in anytime from 4:30-6pm. For teens ages 13-18. No registration required. Available while supplies last.
Make Your Own Cookie Cutter 6-7:30pm 
Stop into the Idea Lab between 6:00 pm and 7:30pm to design your own cookie cutter from a 3D image of your choosing. Idea Lab staff will 3D print these cookie cutters and you can come back to pick them up when they're done in a few days. Free. One per person. Available while supplies last. No registration required - just drop in!
Ages 12 and up. Intermediate computer skills required. You should be able to type and feel comfortable navigating the internet and following instructor directions. It's About Time: Build Your Own Clock! 6-8pm (Registration Required) 
Unleash your creativity and master the art of time in this hands-on workshop! You'll paint a precut laser clock design with your personal flair, then install the mechanism to bring your custom timepiece to life. It's the perfect opportunity to craft a functional piece of art for your home or a thoughtful, handmade gift.

Discover the creative world of Melt and Pour Soap. Learn simple techniques for swirling and layering, you will make your very own bars to take home. You will create beautifully designed soaps by choosing colors and fragrances. For teens ages 13-18. No registration required. Available while supplies last.

Print Your Power (Registration Required) 
Join us and create a meaningful art piece using sublimation!
Choose from a selection of bold, pre-printed affirmations and quotes, then heat press to transfer your favorite design onto a slate tile that you can display in your home.
No experience needed. Just drop in, press on, and walk away with a piece that speaks to you.

Iroquois Crafting Corner 12:302:30pm 
Join fellow crafters while working on your own personal projects such as knitting, needle work, quilting, cardmaking, watercolor and crochet. Bring your finished projects for show and tell. Those in attendance can expect good company, sharing ideas and interesting conversations. Youth under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult. This event is a self-guided program.

Kanzashi Fabric Flowers 10-12pm (Registration Required) 
Learn how to make flowers out of fabric! Kanzashi (簪) are traditional Japanese hair ornaments, often fabric flowers made from folded cloth. Join us to craft a bouquet of flowers from scraps and buttons featuring three simple flower styles using circles—perfect for holiday and winter decorations!
You don’t need a sewing machine, just a needle, thread, and your imagination. Free. Registration required. Ages 13 to adult.

Paint a Bookmark Workshop 6-7pm (Registration Required)
Visit Board & Brush Creative Studio in Erie for this free bookmark painting workshop! Board & Brush is a DIY wooden sign making business with locations around the world. For this workshop, Board & Brush will provide all the materials and instruct you step-by-step to create a beautiful bookmark. Choose from a variety of paint colors to decorate your project. One bookmark per person.

Let's Start Creating Your Next Novel! (Registration Required) 
Do you want to write a novel but are having trouble getting started? Make a free 45-minute appointment with Next Chapters for some one-on-one help! You bring your idea, and we'll help you turn it into a full outline of your book to get you on your way. This session will last from 12am to 12:45am. Sessions are meant for adults.
Next Chapters is a company dedicated to helping authors write and publish novels in any genre. If you join their writing platform, you can see some of the works in progress, find a novel to join, or start out writing a book of your own!
Sourdough 2-4pm (Registration Required)
Join local baker Vincent Bartone from Herb and Honey bakery as he goes over baking with a sourdough starter. He'll explain what sourdough is, how to take care of a living culture, troubleshooting sourdough problems, and what you can do with discard sourdough.
Each participant will receive a healthy pre-packaged sourdough starter to take home. Free. One per person. Ages 18 and up.

CAM Erie Tours (Registration Required) 
Take a tour of Community Access Media's professional grade production facility! Learn about audio and video recording, editing, photography, streaming, and everything else CAM has to offer. All ages welcome! Anyone under the age of 18 must attend with a caregiver.
Each tour can accommodate 1-5 people. Please sign up for only one session per group.

Mixed Media Clay Workshop (Registration Required)
Join the Erie Art Museum for a mixed media clay workshop to celebrate Erie Makes week! Participants will create sculptural forms inspired by lyrics, stories, or poems of their choice, drawing from artist Natalie Condrac’s piece Bed Bugs, featured in the current exhibition 111th Associated Artists of Pittsburgh in the Museum’s Customs House.
Participants are welcome to bring their own text or choose from what is provided. Please ensure any material brought is age-appropriate and generative. This workshop is recommended for ages 11 and up and will take place in the 2nd floor classroom at the Erie Art Museum. Please use the entrance located on East 5th Street for Museum access. All participants must register on the Erie Art Museum website.

Tie-Dye Shirts 12-2pm (Registration Required) 
Join local fiber artist and tie dyer Linda Weber to add some color to your summer! Learn some simple tie dye techniques and create your own colorful shirt design that's yours to keep.Note: Tie dye can stain, so make sure you wear clothes you can get dye on, and be prepared to get a little messy!
This program is free. Ages 8 to adult. Children must be accompanied by an adult. All supplies for this class will be provided. If you think you will need extra help with this project, please bring a support person with you to this class.
Teen: Mason Jar Light 2-3:30pm 
Create your own mason Jar light to illuminate your space. Choose from a variety of designs, add colors of your choice and let them shine! For teens ages 13-18. No registration required. Available while supplies last.
Crafternoon: Drop in and Make Bows and Hair Clips! 2-4pm 
Drop in for a low-key afternoon of accessory creation. This is not limited to girl's hair - you can make a small bow for your cat or dog! No registration necessary. All materials provided, while supplies last. Ages 6+ accompanied by an adult!
Grounded Printshop: 1902 Cherry St Erie, PA
Grounded Print Shop Open House 1-4pm 
Drop in at Grounded Print Shop any time between 1 and 4 pm to see the papermaking process in action and try it for yourself! While you're there, get a tour of their workspace and learn about the art of printmaking and papermaking.
This event is free and open to the public. No registration required. Children under 15 must be accompanied by a guardian.
