HistERIE Week: About

histERIE Week is a week-long event dedicated to promoting historic preservation from a community level.

About HistERIE Week

HistERIE Week celebrates the History of Erie County, Pennsylvania through a week-long lineup of community-driven historic preservation, education, and engaging local history programs. Created by Erie County Public Library in 2022 as a way to highlight the resources of its Heritage Room, this series aims to connect the broader Erie community with opportunities to learn about our shared local history.

ECPL coordinates history-related programs happening at partner organizations and supplements with original programming at library locations. Click the Event Schedule tab to see what's in store for this year's HistERIE!

Organizations can be involved in HistERIE Week in several ways. Click the "Want to Participate?" tab at the top of the page to learn more.
